By sponsoring a Book Drive to provide text books to students and faculty members who have never had text books at Las Conchas School? By joining a mission team’s efforts to build new classrooms where a school is greatly overcrowded?

Education Tuition Sponsorships – Shalom School
Education Sponsors make it possible for children to attend the Shalom School, a private Christian school, pre-k through high school. By providing tuition sponsorships students who otherwise could not afford this opportunity, can attend. These children receive a quality education, develop necessary communication and interpersonal skills as well as important values enabling them to become compassionate leaders in their communities.
An Education Sponsorship for one school year is $480 a year or $40 per month. Every penny (100%) of your Education Sponsorship contribution will go directly to support a child’s education.
By becoming a sponsor, you are helping to keep at- risk youth off the streets, away from violence and the gang solicitation of zone 18 in Guatemala City. Through a tuition sponsorship, you are providing an environment where children can learn at their full potential, develop Christian character, and be encouraged to pursue a better future.

Las Conchas School, Guatemala City
Las Conchas School is a special place for nearly 500 children of the impoverished community of Las Conchas. Set apart from the urban slums but not from the crushing poverty of the city, the children attending the public Las Conchas Elementary and Middle School receive an education in a loving and safe environment. Built by the efforts and resources of the local families and led by Principal Donaldo Gonzalez, the school leaders struggle to serve the students without proper financial support. The school is overcrowded. Classrooms with dirt floors hold the youngest and the oldest students. Desks fill the walkways as makeshift classrooms. Middle School students attend classes after elementary students recess for the day.
With support from our partners and donors, The Shalom Foundation is committed to provide textbooks for every student and teacher, new classrooms, a clean water system and a mentoring program – to demonstrate Christian values and share the “Good News”.
Your donations to support the purchase of text books will help provide new books approved for each grade level. Your donation can support efforts to build new claessrooms, bring a clean water system and improve overall conditions of the facility.
