Textbooks for Las Conchas
The Shalom Foundation has started a program to provide textbooks to every student and teacher at the Las Conchas School.
For years, the only books used were the teacher’s books – if she or he could afford one. At $20 per book, some teachers could not even afford one book (roughly equivalent to 1 weeks salary).
Education is a major factor in helping people get out of the ‘poverty cycle’. Textbooks are the foundation of school. Please help us provide textbooks for Las Conchas!
