General Sponsorship Questions

What does it cost to sponsor a child’s education?

For just $40 a month or $480 per year, you can change the life of a child forever.

How is my sponsor child selected?

There are currently more than 700 children attending Shalom School. Many of these children desperately need a Sponsor. A Critical Needs List, created by the leadership at Shalom School, tells us the children who most desperately and immediately are in need of sponsorship. The Shalom School will award the scholarships to the most needy children.

How much of the funds that the Shalom Foundation receives are used to benefit the children?

We’re proud to say that 100% of all child sponsorship donations go directly to the children’s educational needs.

How does The Shalom Foundation use my donations on behalf of my sponsor child?

Child sponsorship donations are used to pay a child’s tuition at Shalom School. Your donations provide your child with a quality Christian education in a safe and loving environment.

Questions About Payments

What type of payment options do you offer for contributions?

Donors may contribute to the Shalom Foundation via MasterCard, Visa, American Express, automatic bank draft or by check. We request that monthly payments are made either by an automatic bank draft or re-occurring credit card payment. These options streamline our processing and allow your contributions to more quickly reach those in need.

How can I make donations by credit card?

It’s easy! You can donate online today. We accept Visa and MasterCard and American Express or you can set-up an automatic debit by filling out and submitting the Automatic Credit Card Donation Form. This form can also be submitted online, mailed or faxed to the address provided.

How can I make donations directly from my checking account via automatic draft?

You may simply complete the Bank Draft Donation Form and mail or fax it to the address provided on the form. You may also use your Visa or MasterCard debit card. We will process your donation and send you a receipt via email.

Can I make one payment to cover the entire annual sponsorship?

Yes, you can make sponsorship contributions monthly, quarterly or annually.

Will I receive a tax letter noting my charitable contributions for the year?

Yes, each year you will receive a letter for tax purposes noting your tax deductible contributions. You will generally receive this letter in late January or early February for the previous year’s contributions.

How can I sign up to sponsor a child in need?
