Moore Pediatric Surgery Center
The Shalom Foundation’s Medical Program addresses the desperate medical and health needs of poor children in Guatemala. The lives of these children are improved through surgical treatment, appropriate follow-up care, dental care, optical clinics, wellness clinics and good health education. Our Medical Teams provide treatment that is financially and socially out of reach for acutely poor children.
Collaboration with medical organizations in both the United States and Guatemala is key to the success of the Medical Program. Since 2005, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt has provided valuable resources and support designating The Shalom Foundation as their International Surgical Partner. Specialty surgical teams from Children’s Hospital have traveled with Shalom Foundation providing life-changing procedures for children who would otherwise go untreated.
Medical Teams supported by Children’s Hospitals and other recognized medical organizations across the United States are invited to work with The Shalom Foundation to serve these needy children.
